Does llms.txt help Google rankings?
Not directly. It is aimed at AI answer engines, where being cited is the new equivalent of ranking.
What is llms.txt?
llms.txt is a proposed standard: a Markdown file at the root of a website that gives AI assistants a concise, authoritative summary of the site and links to its key pages, much as robots.txt guides crawlers.
As ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews answer more searches directly, a site needs to be easy for those systems to read and cite. llms.txt gives them a clean summary; a companion llms-full.txt carries the complete content.
This site publishes both, generated from the same data that renders the pages, and we add them to every website we build alongside structured data and an AI-aware robots.txt.
